Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant for KS1 -

Location: Waltham Forest

Salary: £85-£100 per day

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school based in Waltham Forest. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the educational development of students with the help of experienced teachers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver tailored learning activities and provide one-on-one support and small group sessions for Key Stage 1.
  2. Collaborate closely with teachers in creating a welcoming and interesting classroom environment by assisting in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources to foster a love for learning.
  3. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment to ensure the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
  4. Support the management of student behaviour and encourage positive social interactions.
  5. Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant experience working with primary school-aged children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
  2. A passionate individual with a genuine commitment to fostering a love for learning.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, teachers, parents/carers.
  4. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with changing priorities.
  5. Patience and resilience with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  6. A relevant qualification or willingness to undertake training.
