Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a caring 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the BL2 Bolton area. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide consistent support to an individual pupil throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will have a relevant TA/education/SEN qualification or at least 6 months' UK experience, with patience, resilience and strong communication skills to build relationships and support safeguarding and pupil

Qualifications

• A relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare or SEN qualification.
• At least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK.
• Patience, resilience and a calm approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
• Supporting communication, concentration and engagement.
• Helping the pupil access classroom activities and learning.
• Encouraging independence and confidence.
• Reinforcing positive behaviour strategies.
• Supporting social and emotional development.
• Recording observations and contributing to pupil progress.
• Following individual support plans and safeguarding procedures.

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, patient and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the BL2 area of Bolton.

This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children with additional needs and is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide consistent support to an individual pupil throughout the school day.
