Primary Teaching Assistant - SEN
Leicester
£90 - £100 per day
Contract: Full Time and Supply options available

Aspire People have partnered with a successful all-through SEN school based in Leicester, seeking Classroom Assistants to support their primary department with children aged 4-11 with SEN needs. The successful candidate will join a warm, inclusive, and motivated team.

The role involves providing 1:1 support to learners with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other SEN. Responsibilities include supporting main teachers with non-teaching duties like preparing teaching materials, assisting with reading, writing, and helping children concentrate.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals
• Awareness of child development and learning
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, children, and families
• Ability to implement behaviour management strategies as per school policies
• Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
• DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one
