About the Role:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for SEN schools in Lymington and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils' social and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers
Contribute to classroom activities and learning resources
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN
A caring, patient, and positive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work well as part of a team
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
