Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis in a Special Educational Needs setting. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider team to promote academic progress, positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

The successful candidate will support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Is patient, caring and understanding
• Can build strong relationships with pupils
• Is confident supporting challenging behaviour and additional needs
• Works well as part of a team
• Has a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

SEN experience is essential, and experience within a specialist school or with ASD would be highly desirable.
