If you're looking for a role where every day brings new challenges and incredible rewards, this opportunity might be perfect for you! Join our tight-knit team in a beautiful, independent primary school designed to support children with communication difficulties, often linked to Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Key requirements:

  • Must be able to drive
  • Experience with SEN (Highly Desirable)
  • Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS on update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

What will you do?

You will play a vital role in supporting students across various learning settings, including one-on-one, small group, and whole-class environments. Your focus will be on ensuring that every child receives the individualised support they need to thrive in a calm, structured, and positive learning atmosphere.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to diverse learning needs. You will contribute to the development of personalised lesson plans and activities designed to inspire, motivate, and bring out the best in each pupil. Your role will also involve providing targeted interventions, adapting resources to suit different abilities, and fostering an inclusive environment where every student can progress with confidence.

As part of a dedicated and passionate team, you will help create meaningful learning experiences that empower students to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.

Why this role?

  • A rewarding environment: You'll be part of a team that thrives on creating a nurturing and inclusive space for children to learn and grow.
  • Fantastic facilities: Enjoy working in a setting that includes a dedicated music room, outdoor space with a trim trail, an on-site kitchen, and even a Forest School.
  • Small, caring community: With just over 60 pupils aged 4-11, this school offers a personalized approach where you'll truly make an impact.
  • Career growth: Take advantage of free, fully funded training and qualifications, with endless opportunities to develop your skills and progress in your career.
  • A supportive team: Join us as we work together to provide exceptional education, following the retirement of a beloved staff member after 25 years.

The Perks:

  • Career progression opportunities
  • Accessible public transport links
  • Regular school social events and networking opportunities
  • A fully-stocked staff room with drinks, biscuits, chocolate, and a fun, relaxing atmosphere
  • Spacious classrooms and brilliant resources
  • Fully funded training and qualifications to support your growth

Who are we looking for?

We're on the lookout for a passionate individual with experience working with children and young adults, especially those with SEN (though this is not essential). Whether you've volunteered or worked in paid roles before, your enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference are what matter most.
