Salary: £21,279 to £23,908 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Full time (Monday to Friday)

Our Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a vital role working alongside class teachers to support students in fulfilling their potential and developing independence.

Staff may work with individual students or small groups to support access to our broad, balanced, fun, relevant, and functional curriculum. Our students have various learning needs and have experienced trauma, which can sometimes lead to challenging behaviors.

The position is based at our SEN School in Ditton Priors, near Bridgnorth. This is a new school, the fourth Esland school, supporting vulnerable young people aged 8-18 with SEMH.

Minimum requirements:
  • Appropriate knowledge of first aid
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Teamwork skills and understanding of classroom roles
  • Basic knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Effective ICT skills to support learning
  • Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning
  • Ability to self-evaluate and seek learning opportunities
  • Experience working with or caring for children
