We are looking for a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a team and support pupils with special educational needs across the school. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about inclusive education. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of special educational needs
Assist in delivering personalised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
Foster a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development
Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour through consistent strategies
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting
Be adaptable, empathetic, and skilled in managing individual learning needs
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
Be confident in following individual support plans and behaviour strategies
Hold a relevant qualification or be willing to undertake further training
