Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Rowland's Castle. This SEN provision school features excellent facilities, including a music room, extensive outdoor play areas, and sports facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team. The school offers full training to help you understand how to work effectively with pupils with special educational needs.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching, sports coaching, nursery work, support work, healthcare, youth work, or working with challenging behaviour (desirable but not mandatory)
Role Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in settling pupils into their tutor groups
  • Supporting teachers to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum
  • Engaging in 1:1, 2:1, and small group activities
  • Collaborating closely with teachers to support pupils' needs
  • Full-time work is preferred; part-time and job share options may be available
Candidate Requirements:
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply for one via GSL Education
