Teaching Assistant - Learning Centre, Derby
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Derby
Salary: 90 - 110 per day DOE

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist Learning Centre in Derby to recruit committed and compassionate Teaching Assistants for a September 2025 start.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and moderate to severe behavioural challenges. The Learning Centre provides a supportive and inclusive environment, focusing on tailored learning to meet each student's unique needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the classroom

  • Help implement personalised learning and behavioural strategies

  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to create a positive learning environment

  • Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning



Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Patience, empathy, and resilience

  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
