Rate:£90 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a welcoming SEN school in Derby!

About the Role:

As SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) in Derby, you will play a crucial role in empowering students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to overcome barriers and unlock their full potential. Collaborating closely with dedicated teachers and support staff, you will help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.

Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

• Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
• Deep commitment to helping students with SEN.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) education preferred.

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
