Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This includes supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Adapt resources and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs, where required.
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and confidence in all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure progress and wellbeing.
About You
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (desirable).
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
