A leading organization in autism education is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students at Portfield School starting September 2025. The role involves helping students with a range of activities and ensuring a fun, engaging learning environment. Ideal candidates should have a supportive attitude, adaptability, and be comfortable with personal care tasks.
Year on year Portfield School is developing and providing more opportunities to students as we grow our education offering. We are looking for an enthusiastic and kind-hearted Teaching Assistant to join us from September 2025!
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our students, aged four to nineteen years old, to reach their full potential, while making every school day as fun and fulfilled as possible.
Our students have access to a range of activities to help with their learning, including a hydrotherapy swimming pool, sensory rooms, a kitchen for cooking and baking, forest school and rotunda to name a few…
We thoroughly enjoy celebrating all the amazing achievements with students at school whether it’scounting to ten, being able to solve a tricky maths equation or a conversation with someone new!
Working at Portfield School is unbelievably rewarding and we guarantee that no two days will be the same, this does come with some challenges which may be both physically and emotionally demanding at times however you will not be alone, on going support will always be available from your team members, line manager, Leadership team, mental Health First aiders or our Employee Assistance programme.
