Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking teaching assistants to support pupils at a SEN school near Cambridge. You will provide individual and small-group support, assist with classroom activities, and help implement IEPs.

Job description

One of our partner schools are looking for several TA’s to help support at their SEN school based near Cambridge. This school are needing extra staff to help support the children either in a 1:1 setting or small groups.

The school specialises in pupils who have a variety of complex and significant learning requirements in the areas of cognition and learning. This includes students with profound physical and sensory needs as well as those with autism spectrum conditions.

About the role:

Sociable hours, NO WEEKENDS – 8.30am-3.30pm (these hours may vary by 45 minutes)

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist with classroom activities and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development.
  • Be a source of motivation, encouragement, and positivity for your students.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have previous personal or professional experience working with SEN children (not essential)
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
  • Have the passion and drive to work with children - MUST
  • Able to use own initiative to get involved –MUST

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
