Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an SEN teaching assistant to support one of our specialist SEN secondary schools in Bolton.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:

• Have experience working with children with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in classes
• Preferred training or experience in safeguarding, Makaton, PECS, or be Team Teach trained
• Be passionate about working with SEN children
• Be flexible, proactive and patient
• Be able to communicate effectively within a team
• Be committed to work full-time

Requirements:

• Enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service, or willingness to do this
• OCC if you have been abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years
• Up to date CV with complete career history
• Experience working with SEN
