SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Southsea. This is a specialist SEN provision school that supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, autism, and non-verbal communication.

The school offers a warm and nurturing environment with excellent facilities, such as a sensory-friendly music room, fully accessible outdoor play areas, and inclusive sports resources.

To be successful for the role, experience is desirable in:

1. Any teaching experiences
2. Sports Coaching
3. Nursing background
4. Support work or Health care
5. Youth Work
6. Working with challenging behaviour

1. Settling the class into their tutor group
2. Supporting students with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, autism, and non-verbal communication
3. Supporting teachers in ensuring all pupils can access their curriculum
4. 1:1, 2:1 and small group activities
5. Working closely with teachers to ensure all pupils are supported in school
6. Full-time is preferred but part-time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
7. Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm

1. Have the right to work in the UK.
2. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
3. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
