Job Opportunity: SEN Teacher Secondary

Salary: Up to £36,925 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Location: Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent

Join our close-knit team at Glebedale School, a special needs school providing for pupils aged 7 and upwards. We focus on therapy, education, and personal development to help pupils grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our recent Ofsted rating is "Good".

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people
  • Work according to professional standards, legal requirements, and school policies
  • Manage specific areas of work, reviewed annually within the performance management cycle
  • Set appropriate expectations and targets for pupils
Knowledge and Understanding
  • School’s vision, aims, and curriculum policies
  • Statutory curriculum and assessment requirements
  • High-quality teaching strategies and standards
  • Implications of the special educational needs code of practice
