This special school supports students aged 6 years and upwards with conditions such as Autism, PDA, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. They are seeking a dedicated Primary teacher to join their team. Your role will involve guiding students through the learning process, fostering their abilities, and boosting their self-esteem.

As an advocate for Special Educational Needs (SEN), you will play a crucial role in ensuring each child is equipped to thrive and access diverse opportunities within a nurturing and secure environment. Your responsibilities include crafting curriculum-aligned lessons tailored to each student's needs and contributing to the school's daily operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide an outstanding learning journey and adapt your delivery to meet individual needs.
  2. Plan, prepare, evaluate, and review learning programmes to promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, and moral development.
  3. Teach both individual pupils and small groups, reviewing lessons and teaching approaches regularly.
  4. Review curriculum and school activities to support student development.
  5. Build relationships that foster confidence, trust, and understanding.
  6. Be a positive role model in all aspects of your work.
Qualifications:
  • Recognized teaching qualification, with experience in SEN preferred.
  • Profound understanding of ASD and SEMH, with strategies for adapting teaching methods.
  • Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and task management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
