Job description

SEN Supply Teacher Required - Preston

Your new companyIf you are looking for a new role, then this could be the perfect position for you. At Hays, we work with a number of schools in Blackpool and the surrounding areas, and a lot of these schools are always looking to supply teachers on an immediate start due to an increase in demand. These schools are SEN and the positions available include day-to-day, short-and long-term roles, so this could be perfect if you only want to work part-time, if you're new to teaching, or if you'd like to take a step back from all the full responsibilities as a full class teacher.

Your new role
In this role, your main responsibilities will include carrying out lessons for absent teachers and this will involve using the lesson plans they have left for the class and ensuring pupils remain fully engaged with the learning. By being in this role, you should be flexible and adaptable to meeting the needs of the pupils. You may be required to mark the work from the lessons you cover or liaise with parents if you secure a long-term role. This is a great role to broaden your experience working in various schools and year groups and to expand your knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate while gaining invaluable working experience. You will receive continued support from your experienced personal consultant who has forged strong relationships with local schools, along with free career development courses and free CV and interview advice.
