At Woodside, we specialise in educating young people with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team and work in our wonderful school with our exceptional students and staff.
We are currently looking to appoint a SEN PSHE Teacher (Non-Qualified) to join our team at our outdoor setting, teaching students aged 9-19 in Warwickshire, based in Leamington Spa. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The successful candidate will plan Schemes of Work with a creative, target-based approach. Building trusting relationships with learners is essential, enabling support through emotional difficulties during sessions, downtime, and transitions.
Outdoor learning is central to our approach. The appointed teacher should advocate for outdoor education, incorporating it into lessons where possible. You will also deliver small group sessions in a dedicated, homely base to foster a nurturing environment, supporting pupils in processing new information, especially considering autism manifestations.
Minimum of 1 year's experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for children with ASC to find enjoyment and happiness while accessing personalized timetables. We support pupils aged 11-19, aiming for each to reach their full potential and transition into independent living.
We are a growing community with specialist sites in Leicestershire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire, with plans for expansion. Some of our provisions are rated as OFSTED Outstanding.
