Are you a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher with a specialism in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for an exceptional teacher to join a dedicated team in Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

The Role & Your Responsibilities

As an SEN Maths Teacher, you'll be instrumental in shaping your student's academic and personal growth. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Adapted Instruction: You'll create and deliver structured, differentiated maths lessons that are accessible to students with a variety of needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and SLD.
  • Building Confidence: Your lessons will focus on helping students build essential numeracy skills, while also fostering a sense of confidence and independence.
  • Employing Specialist Strategies: You'll use visual, kinesthetic, and multi-sensory teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. You'll also apply positive behaviour support and emotional coaching to create a safe and encouraging learning environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • UK-Based Experience: Proven classroom experience in an SEN setting within the UK. Experience with adapted maths or life-skills frameworks is highly valued.
  • Commitment: The ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Compliance: A valid Enhanced DBS certificate and UK work eligibility are essential.
