Job Title: SEN Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Underley Garden School, Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DZ

Salary: Up to GBP41,000.00 per annum (DOE) + GBP1,000 Welcome Bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Fixed Term ending October 2026, Term Time Only

Start: October 2025

About the Role

As a SEN Teacher, you'll make a real difference in the lives of pupils with complex needs. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, working in a resource-rich environment with expert support.

Your focus will be on inspiring growth academically, socially, and emotionally, while monitoring and assessing students to prioritize their wellbeing and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver creative and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Develop engaging teaching strategies that foster a love of learning.
  • Support pupils' personal, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to meet individual EHCP targets.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and development.

Note: You'll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, with the 4-Day Working Week subject to probation. The Welcome Bonus is GBP500 after 3 months and GBP500 after completing probation, with terms applying.
