  • SEN Teacher role in: Birmingham
  • Starting date: September 2025
  • Salary: Paid to MPS6, DOE
  • Temporary Contract, ongoing full-time position
  • Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)

Special Needs Teacher Specification
We are currently seeking an experienced Special Needs Teacher for a full-time job in a SEND School in the West Midlands. This role is in a SEN School in North Birmingham.

To be considered you must have experience working as an SEN Teacher and an expert knowledge of the SEND school curriculum, along with a caring and nurturing approach to your work.

  • You must be a qualified SEN Teacher (QTS)
  • Have a excellent knowledge of the UK SEND system
  • Be able to nurture and support young children with SEND
  • Ideally have worked for at least 12 months within Special Needs
  • Safeguarding level 1 trained
  • SEND School experience - Visual Impairment, ASD, Complex, PMLD, SLD
  • Dedicated to supporting young SEND learners
  • DBS on the update service - Child and Adult DBS

The school is looking for an Special Needs Teacher

The school is a SEN setting for learners with Autism, Visual Impairment and additional learning needs, who are currently looking for a Special Needs Teacher.

You will be working within a KS3 department, supported by fantastic TA's who provide and deliver a high level of care and individual support. This is all facilitated by a senior leadership team who really care and value the work each individual does within the school.

Someone with a pro-active, engaging ability with young adults would be a great fit for this role. Being a PRU school, you must be diligent and professional, and committed to changing the lives of those you teach.

Special Needs Teacher Summary

The school is looking for a strong SEN Teacher who is confident in their ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best.
