THE SCHOOL & SEN TEACHER JOB

I am looking to appoint an experienced, dedicated, and engaging Primary SEN Teacher to join an outstanding special needs school in Portsmouth. This thriving school caters to children and young people with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties, and autism.

This SEN Teacher role offers a comprehensive induction and inset programme for all staff.

THE IDEAL PRIMARY SEN TEACHER
  • Teachers with experience of special education, holding QTS, and a proven track record are encouraged to apply.
  • Newly qualified teachers and those transitioning from mainstream education are also welcome.
  • You should have a genuine desire and motivation to make a difference in students' lives.
  • You should believe that all children are capable of making outstanding progress.
  • Experience working with children with SEN in mainstream or special school settings is preferred.
  • Basic skills in PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, and Team Teach are desirable; full training will be provided.
  • Portsmouth location is preferable.
