Job description

Role: SEN teacher

Location: Oldham/Manchester

Hours: Full Time or Part Time - 8:30am to 3:30pm days

Value Education are seeking SEN teachers

This position will be working 5 days a week teaching students of SEN And SEMH schools

The School we are working with are open to accepting candidates with strong experience or newly qualified ECT

The role of a SEN Teacher:

  • Plan GCSE SEN lessons that are engaging and adapt to various abilities
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Use strong de-escalation strategies to keep the students engaged
  • Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status preferable
  • Experience delivering GCSE English lessons at Secondary Level
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils
  • An understanding of working with students with SEN and SEMH needs
  • An understanding of pupils behaviour patterns when experiencing complex needs
