SEN Teacher About the School This Ofsted 'Good' SEN School in Barkingside dedicated to providing exceptional education and care for children aged 5 -13 with special educational needs (SEN) and profound Learning Difficulties.

Daily Rate: Paid to Scale (Apply online only) GBP) Per Day

Location: Barking, East London

Contract: 5 Days/week Long-Term

Start date: ASAP

SEN Teacher Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualised education plans for each student.
  • Set specific, measurable goals tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each child.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
SEN Teacher Requirements
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree/Qualifications in Special Education or a related field is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with children with severe SEN, ASD and disabilities.
  • Understanding of various disabilities and SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, and cognitive impairments.
  • Child and adult DBS
  • RTW in the UK
