Job description

SEN Teacher EYFS Teacher
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Location: London Borough of Lambeth
  • Position: Part-time (2 days/week in September, full-time from November)
  • Salary: £200-257 per day

Career Teachers are currently working with a Nursery School in Lambeth seeking a SEN teacher to start in September 2025.

The school holds a "Good" Ofsted grade and prides itself on a supportive, creative environment for both students and staff. They are committed to high-quality professional development.

As a SEN teacher, you will need to be proactive, willing to take on additional responsibilities, and dedicated to developing all pupils' learning.

The Role
  • Referring pupils to appropriate agencies and managing paperwork transfers
  • Organizing IPP meetings, including inviting parents and coordinating with teachers
  • Assessing pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting in writing EHC plans as needed
  • Monitoring the SEN register
  • Developing intervention materials collaboratively with teachers
  • Analyzing data related to SEN and more able cohorts
  • Leading groups and supporting individual learning needs
  • Monitoring and contributing to the Inclusion Action Plan

The ideal candidate should be flexible, accommodating, and passionate about student progress both inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of the Early Years curriculum
  • SENCO qualification
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • QTS or overseas teaching qualification
  • Right to work in the UK
