SEN Teacher - Secondary SEN School
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: 180 - 240 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm potential)
A dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher is required for a specialist secondary school in Greenwich that supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team committed to delivering personalised, high-quality learning experiences for every student.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners, with a strong focus on emotional wellbeing and social development alongside academic progress.
Deliver adapted lessons to students with EHCPs, using creative and inclusive approaches
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment where pupils feel valued and understood
Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to support pupils' individual needs
Track pupil progress and contribute to review meetings and IEP/EHCP planning
Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence in learners through consistent routines and expectations
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
Previous experience teaching students with special educational needs, ideally in a specialist or inclusive secondary setting
Ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour in a calm and supportive manner
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
A supportive and collaborative staff team
Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
