Job description

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a teacher to work within a special educational needs school full time from September 2025.

This role is based in a school in Gloucester and caters to pupils from KS1 and KS2. The children have access to lessons in English, Maths, Science, ICT, PHSE, Art, PE, and creative topics. They are also offered play therapy for additional support if needed.

The school is designed to provide a nurturing environment where pupils can flourish away from mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the curriculum and plan all classroom lessons.
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs and abilities of children.
  • Provide feedback to parents and relevant third-party teams when necessary.
  • Manage behavior and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience working with SEN children.
  • A positive and compassionate attitude towards students.
  • Valid right to work in the UK.
