Job summary

EmpowerED is recruiting Teaching Assistants for a specialist SEND school in High Wycombe. You’ll support children with severe and complex learning needs, including communication and physical/medical needs. The role requires patience, care and reliability within a multidisciplinary team.

We welcome experienced SEND TAs or carers looking to move into specialist education. Your contribution will help celebrate each pupil’s progress in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a patient and caring approach.
• Comfortable providing hands-on, individualised support.
• Confident supporting pupils with complex needs.
• Reliable and resilient, able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in SEND, care, health or education preferred, attitude important.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with SEND in daily activities.
• Assist with learning tasks, behaviour guidance and inclusion.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to track progress.

• Experienced within SEND, care, health or education — although the right attitude is just as important
