Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an SEN Teacher for a welcoming, well-supported school in Carshalton. The role supports students with diverse needs across age groups with immediate and ongoing vacancies. You will work with assistants, therapists, and staff to tailor engaging lessons and ensure progress.

Suitable for ECTs and experienced SEN professionals. Strong safeguarding standards and collaborative team environment are emphasized, with competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching in SEN, specialist, or mainstream settings.
• Strong understanding of additional needs (Autism, SEMH, SLD, MLD).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons.
• Support students with a range of special educational needs.
• Implement EHCP targets within daily teaching practice.
• Promote positive behaviour and student wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
