Prospero Teaching - General SEN Teacher Role

Prospero Teaching are looking for a General SEN Teacher for a long-term role starting September 2025. You will be responsible for teaching a balanced curriculum including Maths, English, and Science. This timetable is suitable for an ECT seeking support during their Induction or a more experienced teacher looking for a two-term supply booking. There is a possibility of the position becoming permanent from January 2026.

The school is a small but outstanding Specialist Provision. You will teach groups of up to 6 or 7 students, supported by skilled learning assistants. The staff share a strong sense of purpose, and students are encouraged to participate actively in school life.

The school offers GCSE subjects and prides itself on providing a supportive, calm learning environment.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Stockport, Cheshire
• Position – General SEN Teacher

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS

• UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential
• Qualified to teach Primary KS2 or Secondary KS3/4 with relevant experience in Nurture Groups or Broad Curriculum teaching
• Previous experience in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
