Job summary

Academics is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher for a large primary school in Sutton. The role starts October/November 2026 on a fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent, and sits on the MPS2-UPS3 Inner London pay scale.

You will lead intervention groups for children with ASD, collaborate with teachers and parents, and contribute to an enriched, tailored curriculum across the school under an experienced SENCO.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum and hands-on experience with children with ASD.
• SEN specialist training or additional training in ASD is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to work with teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead intervention for groups of children with ASD across the school.
• Support teachers and parents to tailor and enrich the curriculum for children with additional needs.
• Work under guidance of an experienced SENCO and collaborate with therapists.
