Looking for a passionate SEN Teacher in Wimborne!

Are you a compassionate and driven SEN Teacher looking to make a lasting difference?

GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a supportive school community in Wimborne from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time role for professionals who are passionate about teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual learning and emotional needs of students with SEN. You’ll work collaboratively with support staff and therapists to provide a nurturing and structured environment where every learner feels valued and understood.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to students with varying SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs
• Differentiate the curriculum to suit individual learning styles and EHCP targets
• Use a range of strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Track and monitor student progress, reporting regularly to parents and carers
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external specialists
• Contribute to the development of a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Requirements for Special Educational Needs Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary, secondary or specialist setting
• In-depth understanding of special educational needs and inclusive pedagogy
• Excellent communication, teamwork and classroom management skills
• Adaptable, patient and empathetic approach to teaching
