TeacherActive Limited is working with a specialist SEN provision in Maidstone to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher with QTS to join the team from January. You will lead engaging lessons for pupils with SEMH needs, manage challenging behaviour with positive strategies, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the classroom, ensuring a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet pupils' individual needs.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs, promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Implement effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff and school leadership.

SEN Teacher

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a specialist SEN provision in Maidstone, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for a dedicated, caring and experienced SEN Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join the team from January.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who thrives in a supportive environment and is confident managing challenging behaviour while creating a safe, positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
• Strong classroom leadership and behaviour management skills.
• Experience planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour using positive, consistent strategies.
• A kind, caring and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
