We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community in May 2025.

Duties as SEN Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of pupils with SEN.
  2. Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  3. Collaborate with the SENCO, support staff, and external agencies to implement and review personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
  4. Track and assess pupil progress using appropriate frameworks, ensuring meaningful next steps.
  5. Foster strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community.
  6. Contribute to the review and development of inclusive practices across the school.
  7. Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding, SEND, and assessment policies.
Ideal SEN Teacher:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)essential
  • Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
  • Be confident in using a range of teaching strategies to support diverse and complex needs.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills as a SEN Teacher.
  • Be passionate about inclusion and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have a thorough understanding of current SEND legislation and good practice.
