Job description

Are you ready to kickstart a truly rewarding career where you can make a real difference every single day? We're on the hunt for passionate, driven Teachers to join our brand-new, supportive learning community in Tokers Green, Reading, Berkshire!

What's the Vibe?

Imagine being part of something from the ground up! We're a fresh, vibrant school that opened in November 2024, dedicated to empowering young people aged 6-16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, moderate to severe learning needs, and associated difficulties. Our mission? To provide an individualized, specialist approach that truly prepares them for an awesome adult life.

We're all about positive vibes, mutual support, and genuinely valuing every single child. If you're someone who believes in patience, celebrates progress, and can find the humor in everyday life, you'll fit right in! We understand what kids need to thrive - security, value, a balanced learning experience, and opportunities to explore and grow.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to help shape the future of our school. As a Teacher, you'll be instrumental in:

  • Leading the learning: Taking charge of teaching and learning for your students, focusing on their progress and well-being.

  • Team Player: Working alongside our Senior Leadership Team and supervising support staff.

  • Curriculum Champion: Providing leadership in a curriculum area - think monitoring quality, contributing to school plans, and even leading professional development.

  • Values Embodied: Living and breathing our school's core values in everything you do.

Are You Our Next Game-Changer?

We're looking for someone with:

  • A PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • A solid grasp of special educational needs, including relevant curriculum and learning plans.

  • The ability to rock a multidisciplinary team and effectively coach others.

  • Skills to adapt your teaching and communication to fit every situation.

  • Experience supporting students with ASD and complex communication/behavioral needs (desirable, but your passion counts!).

  • A knack for identifying and de-escalating emotional and behavioral issues.

  • Good IT skills (because who isn't these days?).

Why Join Our Crew?

We believe in supporting our team as much as we support our students! Here's what's on offer:

  • Competitive Salary: From £31,650 to £45,646 p.a. (M1-UPS1) - because you're worth it!

  • Full-Time, Permanent Position: Stability and a chance to truly embed yourself.

  • Start Date: September 2025 - perfect timing to jump into a new adventure!

  • Grow Your Skills: Loads of training and development opportunities to help you level up your career.

  • Save Big: Access to Perkbox for awesome discounts on everything from your weekly shop to gym memberships - seriously, help with the cost of living!

  • Health & Wellbeing: A UK Health Cash Plan (for you and your kids!) and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Refer a Friend Bonus: Know someone awesome? Get £1,000 for successful referrals!

Ready to make an impact and be part of a school that values you and your passion? This is your chance to contribute to a vibrant, evolving environment.

Hit us up and let's make a difference together!
