Job Title: SEN Teacher

Working as an SEN Teacher, you will create a positive and safe learning environment for pupils and promote positive relationships between peers. You should be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative teaching style, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential. Collaboration with the SLT to maintain high standards of teaching and learning is essential. You should have a willingness to lead on curriculum areas and contribute to a lively and stimulating environment. We seek individuals who share our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to succeed in the world.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a capable learning environment where pupils thrive, meet their needs, and have access to positive interactions.
  • Secure high-quality teaching through effective use of resources and planning.
  • Organise personalised learning activities and experiences differentiated to meet individual needs and achievement levels.
  • Plan, track, evaluate, assess, and report on pupils' teaching and learning progress.
  • Write and update Individual Outcomes.
  • Supervise, develop, and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to responsibilities.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate.
Key Skills Required:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills.
  • Have a background in teaching English and Maths, delivering at a good or outstanding level.
  • Primary Teacher with experience teaching EYFS, Years 1-4.
About the School

Bestwood Village School is a new school in Bestwood Village, Nottingham, opening in September 2024 with capacity for 30 pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new setting and make a difference in pupils' education.
