Are you interested in becoming a flexible 1 to 1 tutor outside of mainstream schools?

At TP Tutors, we have an exciting opportunity to help young children in Mansfield (Nottinghamshire) with intervention support. This role is ideal if you have previously worked with SEN children as a teacher, teaching assistant, one to one, or through tutoring.

This intervention tutor role involves:

  1. Plan, create, and teach engaging sessions based around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects.
  2. Working with children with Special Education Needs who need face-to-face support. This could include children with ASD, SEMH, or PMLD and may take place at their homes, care homes, or a local area (e.g., library) which can be agreed with the parents/carers.
  3. Track progress and plan next steps.
  4. Inspire children to achieve and keep them engaged, ensuring they can access the learning.
  5. Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focused and on task.

What are we looking for in an Intervention Tutor?

  5. Be able to track progress and plan next steps in children’s learning towards their learning outcomes.
