Job description

Your Next Career Move: Primary SEN Teacher in Harrow

I'm currently partnering with an exceptionally well-run SEN school in Harrow that is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator looking to make a profound difference in the lives of primary learners with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) right here in Harrow.

What's on Offer for a Primary SEN Teacher

  • Excellent pay and conditions for this Primary SEN Teacher role.
  • Superb training and career development pathways.
  • A truly friendly, open, supportive, and close-knit school community.
  • Modern school building with fantastic facilities, including an art studio, therapy rooms, well-appointed classrooms, and outdoor space.
  • A genuine desire from the school to secure permanent staff for this Primary SEN Teacher position.

This full-time, Primary SEN Teacher position involves teaching a bright, engaging, and sometimes challenging primary class. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you'll need to be comfortable with a cross-curricular approach and possess strong knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Excellent behaviour management skills, a positive outlook, and the ability to build great rapport with colleagues are key attributes for a successful candidate. While SEN experience is beneficial, my client is keen to consider experienced mainstream primary teachers who demonstrate the right skills and passion for this role in Harrow.

This supportive school in Harrow is led by an outstanding Headteacher who has overseen significant positive transformation. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you'll join a vibrant and supportive atmosphere where hard work, a strong team ethos, and an accessible Senior Leadership Team (SLT) truly make an impact. The SLT remains hands-on, ensuring they are connected to the daily realities within the school.

As a Primary SEN Teacher, you'll be instrumental in delivering a bespoke curriculum tailored to individual needs. You'll facilitate creative, multi-sensory lessons within small classes (no larger than 8 pupils), ensuring each child receives personalised attention. You’ll also benefit from the guidance of a phenomenal curriculum lead who offers coaching and supports planning.

If you are an experienced primary teacher ready to contribute to student success as a Primary SEN Teacher in Harrow, I encourage you to apply today. My client is looking to conduct immediate interviews, subject to DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
