SEN Secondary Teacher in Portsmouth

Pay - Competitive rates of pay (£100-£180 per day)

Location - Portsmouth

Hours - 8am - 3.30PM

Supply Desk are working closely with a SEN Secondary School based in Portsmouth, that are seeking a full time Teacher to start in September. The role will be covering a range of subjects including Maths, History and Geography across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Overview

Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Supply Teacher to join a SEN Secondary School based in the Portsmouth area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract.

About the School

The School is a mixed SEN Secondary School for students aged from 5 to 16 years with around 89 students in total. The School is based in Portsmouth and is known for its positive atmosphere with not only the children but staff too.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Are outstanding classroom professionals
• Have a clear knowledge and understanding of the Secondary curriculum
• Comfortable teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Confident covering an array of subjects with a subject specialism being a bonus
• Are committed, professional and are good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills
• Qualified Teacher / Registered with GTC/ QTS/ NQT or any relevant experience teaching in this field
• Happy to support more challenging schools where behaviour may be present in the classroom
• Have a DBS on the Update Service
