Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming school in Hull. This is a great chance to positively impact the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by offering the support, motivation, and personalised teaching they need to thrive.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment. Your expertise and commitment will help students develop essential skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This role requires patience, creativity, and a strong understanding of how to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN, ensuring they can access learning effectively.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, helping students to overcome challenges and progress in their education.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support to students.
• Encourage students to develop independence, social skills, and confidence in their abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working with students with SEN in a school setting is desirable.
• A compassionate and patient approach to teaching, with a commitment to helping students succeed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
