Job summary

Teach Plus Limited is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our specialist setting in Hounslow starting ASAP. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support pupils with additional learning needs, delivering differentiated lessons and promoting inclusion.

You will work with a supportive team to create an engaging, safe classroom and to monitor progress, contributing to personalised learning plans and pupil wellbeing in Outer London’s SEN environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification.
• Experience as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role.
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and individual learning requirements.
• Adapt teaching strategies, resources and activities to meet a range of abilities, communication styles and developmental needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and support individual learning targets.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, parents and other professionals to provide consistent and effective pupil support.
• Promote pupils' social, emotional and academic development through personalised teaching approaches and a nurturing learning environment.
