The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• QTS or QTLS with experience teaching in SEN or inclusive settings.
• Child DBS on the update service
• A deep understanding of a range of SEN including ASD, communication needs, and complex behaviour.
• A creative, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching and learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A commitment to inclusive education and a belief that all children can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
• Implement and review individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with parents, support staff, and external professionals.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports the emotional and educational development of each pupil.
• Use a range of communication strategies and sensory approaches to support children with autism, social communication needs, and sensory processing difficulties.
• Manage a class team effectively, including Teaching Assistants, ensuring consistency, high expectations, and mutual support.
• Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for further development.
• Contribute to whole school development, including staff training, collaborative planning, and community engagement.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils in line with the school's safeguarding policy.
