SEN Teacher – Permanent Opportunity

Are you a qualified teacher with experience supporting students with additional learning needs?

A thriving, fast-growing SEN school set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is available for an immediate start or for 2026.

About the Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will teach small classes of secondary-aged students and play a key role in shaping their learning. You will take responsibility for planning, delivering and evaluating lessons, as well as supporting pupils with EHCPs through personalised tutoring sessions.

You will work as part of a supportive, collaborative team in a school that prioritises staff wellbeing, professional growth, and high-quality teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach small groups of secondary-phase students
  • Act as a Personal Tutor for pupils with EHCPs
  • Develop engaging schemes of work and lesson plans
  • Deliver high‑quality lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Liaise closely with support staff, leaders and therapists
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • QTS or recognised teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working with SEND learners
  • Enhanced DBS (can be processed through Smile Education)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
