Overview

Are you a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time skilled and dedicated teacher to join a specialist school in Durham, starting immediately. The school has young children aged 4 - 11, with a diagnosis of autism and who may also have a range of complex learning needs, communication and sensory difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Work closely with support staff and multi-agency teams
  • Use trauma-informed and behaviour management strategies effectively
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
The ideal candidate will have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with ASD, SEMH and additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach
  • A genuine desire to support vulnerable learners
