Overview

SEN Teacher

We are looking for a qualified teacher who has experience working with and adapting lessons to support children with additional needs. This school specalises in supporting children with their development, with all students obtaining an EHCP. The school supports students with a range of needs and this role is ideal for a teacher whom either has exprience teaching within a SEN setting or has worked within a mainstream setting, adapting lessons to students EHCPs and shares a passion to learn a develop this skill further. The school are looking for a teacher who is passionate about SEN Education and believes in learning and adapting approaches so we can all learn.

Responsibilities / About the Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using innovative methods to foster curiosity and excitement in the classroom.
  • Create a nurturing learning environment tailored to each student's needs, promoting personal development and well-being alongside the academic curriculum.
  • Facilitate communication and interaction opportunities to empower students to express themselves, engage with others, and contribute to the world around them.
  • Foster emotional regulation and resilience to support positive mental health and well-being outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to create a positive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents and staff, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Be qualified Primary School Teacher with QTS.
  • Have expert knowledge of Special Educational needs and how to adapt learning styles.
  • Experience Teaching students with a range of special educational needs
  • Have or be able to apply for a DBS on the update service.
