Job summary

TARGETED PROVISION LTD recruitment is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to work with young people in local schools and authorities across the UK. The role includes in-person, online, and hybrid tuition focused on Maths, English or Science to support SEMH and SEND needs.

We value experience with disengaged or vulnerable learners and offer flexible hours, CPD, mentoring, and a supportive team to help you deliver trauma-informed tutoring within a child-centred environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Familiarity with English, Maths or Science teaching.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ references preferred or facilitated by us.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online, and hybrid Maths, English or Science tutoring.
• Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 with trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan lessons and report progress with regular feedback.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
