Job summary

TARGETED PROVISION LTD is recruiting SEND Tutors and Teachers across the UK. Roles include in person, hybrid, and remote teaching of Maths, English or Science for students with SEND/SEMH needs. You’ll work with disengaged and vulnerable learners in a trauma-informed way to transform lives.

The role supports self-employed engagement, with flexible hours and opportunities to collaborate with local authorities and schools. Prior experience and QTS/QTLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience in SEND/SEMH context.
• Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD in trauma-informed settings.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) required or eligible for it.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to pupils with SEMH/SEND needs.
• Plan and report lessons and provide feedback on student progress.
• Maintain safeguarding and create a safe learning environment.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
