Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND tutors and teachers to work with children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs across the UK. Roles include in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching in Maths, English or Science, with flexible hours from part-time to full-time to fit your schedule.

Requirements include 2+ years teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, DBS clearance, and 2+ references. Compensation ranges £28–£35 per hour, with a strong focus on safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Support KS1–KS5 as appropriate for your skills and local authority referrals

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
